Our Heart Will Go On And On

Did you see how many veins and arteries we have in our body? Our heart gives the blood and receives it, being built on arteries and veins. A miracle is how one organ can be so important for all the body.

We had an Orthodox Easter this weekend. By the coincidence, Easter became also 2 months of russian invasion and fight for our freedom & independence. Despite the war, people here still respect culture and traditions.

One of the most popular traditions here for the Easter season is decorating eggs. Countless generations have been creating Easter eggs with decorations (“pysanka”). Me & my daughter also joined that activity.

This year we have to paint Easter eggs like this, with watercolor, not at home, without even our plate

Drawing that decoration of Ukrainian heart with the blood stream, I understood one obvious thing.

Our enemies thought, that they can easily break our country and nation into peaces as if it’s Lego creation. But our heart started beating better than ever. They forgot, that all veins and arteries are combined into one system. We can be different, we can even speak different languages and dialects, but we are THE ONE.

The one body with one heart. The one country with one nation.
